New D.A.R.E. Primary Programme to be launched in Autumn Term 2014
Life Skills Education C.I.C. is a community interest company holding the sole licence for the development and delivery of D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) drug and life skills education programmes in the U.K. We have worked with DARE for many years producing a range of design & print projects for workbooks, promotional and exhibition graphics.
Our latest project for Life Skills Education C.I.C. will be launched during the Autumn 2014 school term.
D.A.R.E Primary is a life skills and drug education programme for 9-11 year olds which seeks to work in partnership with schools, parents, carers and the wider community.
Our task was to update the design and overall look of the D.A.R.E Primary student workbook and to create an interactive presentation for classroom led delivery. Working alongside a local video graphics company the imagery used within the workbooks are based around the characters that appear in the video which assists in the programme. We needed to create an interesting design that caught the imagination of the 9-11 year old students, but at the same time be both practical and dyslexia aware for their understanding.
Currently the programme is going through its final testing process to ensure its delivery into schools and communities as both accurate and relevant. Due to hit the printers at the end of this month, D.A.R.E Primary has been a fun project to work on and we are very excited about its launch later this year.
